Actually, to put it another way, it is not so much that God sends us to Hell, but we send ourselves there by rejecting His love, mercy, and offer of redemption and forgiveness in Christ Jesus. Scripture says that we are already born into sin (Rom. 5:12) because the sin that entered into Adam when he had eaten of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, of which he was warned not to eat from (Gen. 2:15-17, 3:3) was then inherited by humanity as all of humanity is descended from Adam and as consequence, we are born estranged from our Creator and are thus already on the path to Hell, but God, in His love for us, sent Jesus Christ, who being without sin, (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) offered Himself on our behalf as that perfect sacrifice needed to take away the sins of the world, which He did in His death upon the cross on which He was crucified, thereby purchasing redemption on our behalf through the shedding of His blood and after having taken upon Himself the demanded penalty for sin by His death on our behalf, He was then raised again from the dead so that we, by faith, would be justified in Him (Rom. 4:25) and where we spend eternity depends on whether or not we are willing to repent of our sins and call upon the name of Christ Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, fully trusting in Him and only in Him for salvation and in nothing else.
