Jesus did promote eternal peace. The Old Testament has many stories including Noah in Ur killing a man in defense. And David versus Goliath. The New Testament was all about faith and hope in God. The Bible does explain ( mostly Old Testament) that we are to defend ourselves.

Times have changed since 2019. And you do need a weapon to defend yourself. Especially with house raids that will be coming to every town.
