PART 1................

So, Thursday June 15th at around 2330, my 96 year old Grandmother finally passed away.
The funeral was last Wednesday and all the things that go with it is over.
Very small turnout but when you're 96 years old, you've pretty much outlived everyone else.
I ran across my nephew in law at the funeral home. Last I knew he was a police officer but now he's working full time with the funeral home.
It was so amazing to see him. He said that when he saw the obituary, he saw my name and said, "Hey, that's my Aunt!" Can you believe that? 11 years after his Uncle, my husband, passed, he still calls me his Aunt Shannon! It truly made my heart cry happy tears!
Anyway, it was lovely to see him. Heard a few stories from the few that were there about Pa (the name I've always called my Grandmother).
We have a cemetery that contains many generations of my family. My Grandfather, Aunt Polly, my Uncle, Great-Grandmother, on and on and on are all buried there. It almost seems like it's OUR cemetery because before they expanded, we had the first row but it's so popular, people are literally dying to get in, so they've had to expand! (sorry, stupid 'dad' joke)
Pa's 2nd husband is buried there as well, just in a different section, along with one of her brothers. Well, for all these years, she had said she wanted to be buried next to her 2nd husband. *barf*
Well tonight, my mother came over to our house, I found out that after I got into it with Pa last year and called her out on her bullshit over the lies and the denial from her over all these years, how she's treated me like shit, disowned her own daughter for 6 years, told me I was a horrible mother/daughter/wife *which I'm all of the above, but she wrote all of this in a birthday card she sent to me*, she's called me a slut, blah blah blah, all because I came out years ago and made it known that her husband raped me between the ages of 10-13.
