Are we all mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepared for the possibility that we too may face a similar situation? If not, then we SHOULD be prepared for that day when we might have to face civic punishment, imprisonment, violence against ourselves and loved one, and even death for our faith and commitment to Christ and we HAVE been warned ahead of time by scripture that we will face persecution for our faith of varying degrees and severities.

But we are not being asked to risk or sacrifice any more or less than other followers of Christs who have been persecuted and even killed for their faith have done and in fact a reward is promised to us that we are told far outweighs any sacrifice we might make on behalf of the Gospel (Mk. 10:3 if we are but willing to endure all that is required of us on behalf of the name of Christ and we must remember that the final rewards and sentences given will not be given by man, but by God alone before whom we all must stand and give an account.
